This is the Alphabet ABC Coloring Pages Activity in my Building Blocks collection of skill-building resources. These activities are divided into four age range categories, but don’t let that limit you! Many of these overlap and can be used with a wider variety of ages than listed. For the young learners, I have activities for 2–3-year-olds. Next up are activities for 3–4-year-olds. Then, 4–5-year-olds and we top it off with activities for 5–6-year-olds. The hope is that by the time your child is bound for Kindergarten, they will have an abundance of skills “under their belt” and they’re ready for school!
This activity focuses on helping your child learn their ABCs and what words start with each letter of the alphabet. There is a list included that tells you what pictures are on each page in case you don’t know the animal (such as an Emu, Ostrich, etc.) Sometimes in black and white, it can be a little tricky to recognize some of the lesser-known animals. If you plan to use this in the car on a road trip, you can print them and use crayons or put them in plastic sleeves and use dry-erase markers.
These activities can be placed in clear plastic sleeves and used in a 3-ring binder for rainy day activities and road trips, or daily use! All you need to assemble some of these activities are scissors and some Velcro squares. If you plan to use these on road trips, it is recommended that you put the Velcro squares on the outside of the clear plastic sleeves. You can add in some zip-loc bags to store the pieces, so they don’t get lost when not in use.
