I believe one good, realistic word problem is worth 100 flash cards or ten drill worksheets. These problems, which are all real-life applications of mathematics skills, provide students with meaningful practice. There are five subtraction problems on the sheet, one problem that requires use of a different operation, and one challenge problem.
