Mike Coulter has been an elementary teacher and principal in U.S. public schools and charter schools in urban, suburban, and rural locales. For twenty years he wrote and published the Math & Logic Contests, used by hundreds of elementary schools across the United States. He holds bachelors, masters, and education specialist degrees, all from Northwest Missouri State University. His areas of emphasis are math, literacy, science, and teacher professional development. His interests include virtually anything involved with the study of nature: photography, travel, camping, birdwatching, and conservation.
