4 Recycling Art Projects. Earth Day Exhibition

EARTH DAY – 4 RECYCLING ART PROJECTS INSPIRED BY RECYCLING

Ages – 7-10 & Homeschool

I have had the pleasure of working with my Second Grade children on this recycling project. We were tasked with producing recycled artwork for our Earth Day Art Exhibition and the results were outstanding. I would like to share the first 4 projects we did, with you (the buyer). These are original photos of the children’s work.

Preparation:

Encourage the children to start collecting the required recycled material a few weeks before you start your projects. Allow the children to use their creativity and this will in turn, stimulate their imagination and improve their skills. Each project took a few weeks to complete. We had 1 hour art sessions a week and the children were enthusiastic and had so much fun. These are great projects to encourage group work, whole class and individual approaches.

REASONS FOR TEACHING OUR CHILDREN TO RECYCLE:

Children will………….

• Learn more about the Environment and what it needs from us.
• Find out where their rubbish goes.
• Learn to identify recyclable materials to reuse and recycle.
• Have lots of fun creating their works of art.
• Learn to Value and Protect our Earth. We only have one!
