This lesson for Years 5/6 is an opportunity for pupils to learn all about the Moon landing on the 20th July 1969.
Pupils will identify significant characters linked to the moon landing and will get to experience what people saw on their televisions on that day. They then take part in a role play activity during which the teacher acts as one of the astronauts and they are interviewers. After writing and asking questions, they record the ‘astronaut’s’ answers to be used for the next lesson in the sequence.
