This activity aims at teaching the children how to analyse primary sources and how much we should trust them. Taking into account both Diodorus’ and Herodutus’ views as Greeks, we might find their versions of the battle with the Persians somewhat biased.
This activity is perfect for engaging with critical thinking skills and questioning the validity of primary sources. It will also help your class think about how two different sides would view the same event.
