With the release of Paddington in Peru this lesson is sure to be a hit with your class.
This is a tried and tested PowerPoint lesson which is easily adaptable for children in years two, three and four.
The objective of the lesson is to infer the feelings of a character (Paddington) and this is achieved by involving the senses (through links to YouTube videos) as well as prompting responses through key questioning.
A suggested starter is provided for the independent task, as well as a colour coded version in which the grammar choices can be edited to meet your curriculum goals. A teacher prompt sheet is included on the first slide of the PowerPoint, as well as notes at the bottom of each slide.
The suggested task is a story or diary, however, this could be changed to be a newspaper article, poem or letter.
All Paddington images have been drawn or photographed by myself.
YouTube links were correct at time of creation but should be re-checked prior to using in a classroom.
