‘KICK OFF WITH MUSIC’ is a 39 page resource, full of advice and ideas for the busy Primary School teacher. It is targeted at the non specialist teacher who would love to incorporate music into lessons, bu sometimes lacks confidence in what is often seen as a very specialist area of the curriculum. No previous experience, resources or specialist equipment are assumed or expected for the vast majority of ideas.
The lessons complied have been well proven with all year groups over a career of over 30 year, by a successful music teacher and consultant in Music Education.
The lessons cover each of the areas of Performing, Composing and Appraising, as described in the National Curriculum, but delivered in a fun, enjoyable and collaborative way.
Tasks have also been found to build confidence, improve focus and behaviour, whilst encouraging working as part of a team.
