Arthur Miller’s, ‘A View from a Bridge’, takes place in an Italian/American community, exploring the topic of immigration, discrimination and gender inequality. It remains a significant text for post-modern society. This PowerPoint lesson explores the characterisation of Eddie Carbone. I have taught this text many times and have used this specific resource to lead my teaching in class, as a distance learning material and even as a tool of revision – all have worked well for the students.

This dynamically illustrated PowerPoint lesson (18 slides) includes: a starter activity, characterisation questions, textual analysis tasks, an extension task, a homework assignment and a plenary. This is a complete resource, with no further work required from the teacher. Enjoy!
