Clothes Online Escape Game (EFL/ESL) – Genially

Who would have thought that your ordinary afternoon in the shopping centre could turn into a race against time as a horde of hungry zombies continues to hound your steps? Suddenly, your path from the third floor to the exit is not as easy as you first thought. And why is there a strange lock on the main door?

This is an interactive online escape game made in Genially, focusing on clothes vocabulary, present simple & continuous. It was created for use in the EFL/ESL classroom and is aimed at secondary school pupils (age 12-15).

In this escape game, pupils have to pass through four locations, completing various tasks related to the topic. After they have collected all the numbers, they have to complete a short mini game to successfully escape the centre.

The activities in the game include:

• Third Floor: match vocabulary to the correct picture, true or false (This is… / These are…)
• Second Floor: choose the correct option (What are the people wearing?), look at the picture and complete the sentences
• First Floor: read the text and dress the mannequin
• Ground Floor: match questions and answers, dialogue (shopping for clothes)
• Exit: enter the numbers after completing the mini game
• Bonus: DRESS UP – dress a mannequin!
