This Ancient Romans Unit is a comprehensive unit of work complete with lesson plans, PowerPoints and resources. The unit is designed for LKS2 and is designed to explore the Ancient Romans in a creative and active way. I have tried to make the unit as engaging as possible and really hope it brings about some truly memorable, exciting and fun learning moments in your classroom 🙂
Please see the medium term plan attached for the full lesson overviews. The 10 lesson unit aims to take children chronologically through the history of Ancient Rome, initially exploring Ancient Rome, before progressing on to the narrative of the Romans landing in Britain and the challenges this posed. Finally, the culture and ingenuity of the Ancient Romans is explored, before children explore the legacy that the Ancient Romans left here in Britain.
