Break the Silence – Anti-Bullying Week KS2 Pack (Reading, Scenario Cards, Answer Keys)

Anti-Bullying Week 2026 runs from Monday 16 to Friday 20 November, and the theme is ‘Break the Silence’. This is a print-and-go KS2 pack (Years 5-6, adaptable to lower KS3) that takes the awkward part out of that week: what a child actually says, and to whom. WHAT IS INSIDE (8 A4 pages) – A short story with comprehension: ‘The day nobody said anything’ – a Year 6 gaming-chat incident, six vocabulary rows and eight questions, with answers. – A define-it page: the four types of bullying, a bullying / one-off tick grid, and a three-row upstander table with words that work. – Eight cut-out scenario cards – verbal, social, online and physical – each with the same three questions: what is happening, what could somebody say out loud, which adult would you tell and when. – A response-writing page: one sentence to the pupil being targeted, one to the person being unkind, one to an adult, plus a stop-think-choose grid and a words-that-work / words-that-make-it-worse table. – A class agreement sheet, an Odd Socks Day reflection page and a week-at-a-glance plan for Monday 16 to Friday 20 November. – Answer pages with one suggested response per card and a short flag list: which cards should go to your designated safeguarding lead the same day. – editable-text.txt and editable-version.rtf, so names, year groups and places can be changed in seconds. A NOTE ON CARE The pack never asks a child to role-play being bullied, and no card uses names from your class. The teacher page says what to do if a pupil recognises themselves in a card.
