Ask a Question

Lesson Planned is an online marketplace where teachers, tutors, and education companies can share and download educational materials, including lesson plans, activities, and classroom resources from all over the world.

The website has since grown rapidly and now offers a vast collection of over 14,000 educational materials, an AI assistant who makes uploading resources quick and easy, and an Education Blog for guest educators to share their top tips and good practices.
Yes! In fact, we actively encourage members to upload as many free resources as possible. Many of our members exclusively post free teaching resources so there are plenty of free downloads to be found.
The easiest way to find the resources that you need is by using the search bar at the top every page.

Equally, you can use our handy AI chatbot, EduBot, to help you find anything you need. Just describe what you're looking for and he will suggest a resource or keywords to help.
You can download all resources by clicking on the ‘Download’ button next to the resource. Once you've entered a few details and clicked confirm, your download will then start automatically and we’ll use your email address to send you an extra copy so that you can access it from any computer.

You can use the email address and password you used to register to log in, once in the 'Your Account' section, you can find all of your downloads in the 'Downloaded Resources' section on the left of the dashboard.
All payments are SSL protected and processed through your choice of Stripe, PayPal or Amazon, meaning you can download premium resources knowing that your data is secure.
Once you download a resource, it will appear in three places to make sure that you don’t lose access to it.

In Your Device's Downloads Folder

Once you have completed the checkout process, your download will start straight away. Most browsers display the progress of the download at the foot of the page.

In Your Inbox

When you check out, you will be asked for an email address. The reason that Lesson Planned ask for this information is so that we can send you an electronic receipt. If you lose access to the file on your computer or wish to access it from a different device, you can still access your download from the email receipt.

In Your Account

You can view and re-download your purchases by going to the 'Your Account' area from any page, logging in and clicking on 'Downloaded Resources' on the left hand side.
Lesson Planned is designed to be as informative as possible. You can ask sellers questions by leaving them a comment on one of their resources.

How to leave a comment

When viewing a resource, you will notice four tabs below the preview image(s). If you click on the 'Comments' tab, you will be able to ask a question about the resource which will appear on the seller's dashboard when they log in.

Comments may not appear straight away as they are all screened for potentially offensive content before appearing publicly on Lesson Planned.
We ask all users to give as much feedback as possible as this not only helps other users decide which resource is the best quality but can also result in improvements being made to resources by the author. You will retain access to any revised material for a year after purchase meaning that you can download their revised resource after any changes. In addition to this, we offer a 20% discount on your next purchase once a review has been posted.

How to leave a review

To leave a review, click on the link provided in your email receipt or by visiting the 'Downloaded Resources' tab of Your Account and clicking 'Review'.
You can find our Privacy Policy here and in the footer section of every page.
If you are not satisfied with a product you purchased from Lesson Planned, you can request a full refund within 7 days of your purchase.

Our full Returns Policy can be found here.

Once registered, you can start downloading resources, many of which are free.

If you wish to sell your resources, you don’t have to pay a penny. You shouldn’t have to pay to share your resources which is why you will be set up with a bespoke store with everything you need to start selling your resources.
1) Join Lesson Planned as a seller by clicking 'Become a Seller' at the top of any page.

2) Register by entering your name, email and author name (this will be the name which appears on your store and next to all of your resources). Only your author name will be shown to visitors.

2) You will then be taken to your seller dashboard. You can access this area at any time by clicking on 'Log In' or 'Your Account' at any time. Once in this secure area, you should add your PayPal email address here to ensure that all payments from sales reach your PayPal account.

3) We recommend that you customise your profile before uploading any resources. To do this, click on the Profile tab. Here you can customise the look of your store, add an avatar or logo to appear next to your resources and link your store to all of your social media accounts. To optimise the appearance of your store, you can use the template found here. You can find your store URL at the top of your seller dashboard.

4) Upload your resources and set the price by visiting the 'Add Teaching Resources' tab.

Once you have completed these four steps, you’ll notice your resources appear publicly on your store and on the rest of Lesson Planned for users to buy and review.
To sell digital resources, you need a PayPal account so that we can send you your earnings. You can add this email to your account securely in the 'Your Account' area.

To check in on your sales total, you can visit the Orders section in your seller dashboard. Only completed payments will appear in this area.

All members will receive 80% on all sales of teaching resources with no other charges or fees deducted.

We pay out seller earnings on a monthly basis. Earnings for each month arrive the following month, no later than the 28th.
1) Register

Visit our Login Page to create a free account. Once you have registered, visit the 'Your Account' area and click on the 'Add Teaching Resource' tab.

2) Upload File(s)

Click on the upload button to upload your resource. If you are selling a bundle/uploading multiple files as one resource, you will need to compile these files into a zip folder first. You can find out how to do this here.

3) Set a Price

The price you enter next to your upload file will be the price your digital resource is advertised for on Lesson Planned. If you wish to allow users to download this resource free of charge, leave this box empty.4) Add Preview Images

The more images the better – think about selling your resource like selling a car online, users will only buy when they can see your teaching resource from all angles and can be confident that they are getting a high-quality product.

5) Describe Your Resource

This is where EduBot, our AI chatbot comes in very handy. Click on him (bottom right) to open the chat and give him a title and a short description of your resource. He will create a full, high performing description. Simply click copy on his response and paste this into the boxes provided.

6) Select the Correct Categories

To make it easier for sellers to appear in relevant searches, we have preassigned tick boxes for you to check in all of these areas. If your resource is cross-curricular, you can select multiple categories in each section.

7) Add Topic Tags (Optional)

These tags are the perfect way to appear in more search results. These will appear below your resource preview once the resource is submitted.

Once you click 'submit', you're done! Your resource will appear in the Lesson Planned marketplace and your own storefront for users to buy.
Well-presented resources and stores lead to the most downloads so we've created a reference guide below for the optimum image sizes.

Most of the time they are positive comments or thank you messages, but other times they can be questions which may need answering. Beneath each comment there will be a response box where you can answer questions posed in the comments section which will be made publicly available under your resource for other users to see to prevent the same question from being asked twice.

Resource Author Feedback Page

This area of the dashboard can be accessed by clicking the 'Resource Author Feedback' tab in your dashboard toolbar. This is where you will find reviews on your products. Good reviews equals more users downloading your products so it is always helpful to users and your sales to respond to this feedback.

If your question doesn't appear in our FAQs section, you can use the AI search bar at the top of this page, use EduBot in the bottom right of every page, or get in touch by clicking on the 'Contact Us' link in the footer of every page.Â
