This topic lesson for Years 5/6 is a chance for pupils to learn about the cold war between Russia and the USA and how this links to the space race between the two nations.
Pupils learn about the use of German scientists and technology were used by both sides to help with the space programme. The class are divided into groups and assigned a topic to research in order to produce a short entry for a class space race timeline to go on display in the classroom.
This is not only an engaging lesson but will also create a display to put up in your classroom!
